Association Information Full membership is conditional on having served with the Squadron as either Groundcrew or Aircrew at any time since its formation at St. Omer, France in 1914 to the present time.
Associate members, or "friends" of IX(B) Sqn Association, may be nominated by any full member and applications submitted to The Secretary for consideration.

The Association aims to foster and maintain the comradeship and the "Esprit de Corps" generated by the common experience of having served with a senior front line operational squadron, whose exploits and achievements have carved a niche in the annals of the Royal Flying Corps and the Royal Air Force.

The Association Reunion is held annually, usually in the third weekend of September. Members receive periodic Newsletters and an Association Magazine, TABS, roles off the presses once a year.

The Association have funded and had erected, in Bardney village, Lincolnshire, a Memorial to Sqn personnel who gave their lives during the Second World War.
The Association have assisted in the funding of a special new Tirpitz Display at the RAF Museum, Hendon, North London.

The Association maintain a Sqn Museum Display at the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre on the site of the wartime airfield at East Kirby, Spilsby, Lincolnshire.
